Here's a URL to a German DIR website with a video showing the deployment of a Halcyon CC liftbag using a spool:

When you get to the site, click on VIDEOS, then click on LIFTBAG. It's viewed on Windows Media Player.
I still much prefer using a Manta reel but this video demonstrates how a spool is used instead.
