FTR, I agree with you that some DOT standards are way too conservative. I agree that the risk of blowing up a properly maintained PST LP with 3500 psi is insignificant. My point is general practice in the industry, Ginnie by its nature is exceptional, won't change unless the liability and insurance issues change as well.
