Mike - he's saying that the new weighting is just -6 from before. I think he underestimates the dead bouyancy of a lot of BCs out there. I think a lot of people gain a couple pounds from it.

However, the plate doesn't explain someone dropping over 10. That was overweighting.

As for weighting technique - aiming for neutral at 20 isn't that far from the norm of aiming for neutral at 15. Karl, you're off the boat on this, even if some of these guys might be aptly described as weight belt anorexics.
