15 fsw seems reasonable enough from a recreational diving perspective, if that is where you will do your final safety stop, and if you are coming up on it from below, like youre supposed to.
if what you say about NAUI is true. Im no expert on what NAUI is teaching now.
weighting for neutral buoyancy at a given depth at the end of a dive with a certain minimal amount of gas in a tank is not a universal doctine. but theres nothing wrong with it either. its just different.
