I don't know why we seem to be talking past each other. If you reread my post, you'll see I was talking about pulmonary toxity in the context of Marta's treatment, not diving in general. I never worry about pulmonary toxicity even on multi day deep exposures

Marta exhibited clear symptoms of pulmonary toxicity. Doing some simple arithmetic based on the extended Table 6 schedule she reported yields over 1000 OTU's. That's well in excess of the 850 single daily dosage limit Hamilton cites in the Repex paper.

The point I was raising was whether extended treatments which push someone into this type of toxic reaction are really efficacious given what has been shown by WKPP as to decaying deco efficiency from extended high PO2's. Perhaps the point was too subtle.
