It's simple.. By combining the shrinking of the bubbles [ ie; depth simulation] and by maximizing the 02 vaccancies you are able to allow for the proper diffusion of the inert gases..
BTW, as a side note, if you read PADI's explanation you'll see that they screw it up and the the guru's at PADI have no clue what they are talking about when it comes to 02 vaccancies..
But since you asked the question 2 times now I'm sure you have your own theories that I'd be happy to discuss...
