I've noticed that the biggest loss of buoyancy in a wetsuit often happens during the first couple of weeks of use. Some of the guys I know would weight their suits & sink them to a bit over 130 ft, where most of the compression takes place. After a few dunkings like that, they slow down in their "permanent" rate of buoyancy loss.
