I'm taking a Nitrox class at the new SSA (SSI) dive shop in Woodland Hills. They will be set-up do Nitrox fills in the near future, but for now they are sending the tanks to their Montclair store for filling. Their air fills are ANDI compliant, so they will won't "dirty" things up. Dan Barrows, the owner, tells me that the Spectre will top off the Nitrox tanks.

I've heard both sides of the "it's needs to be oxygen clean argument for under 40%" now, and there doesn't seem to be a straight answer on it (well, ANDI requires it in their teaching).

Below someone says you risk having someone screw up your regs by having them cleaned, which bugs me since I just sent them in for cleaning yesterday. Hopefully, I won't die because of it.

I'm doing my first Nitrox dives off the Spectre this weekend I'll update you all on how things go.
