I'm looking for any news on areas that seem to still be kicking out some good quantities of bugs for a trip over the thanksgiving weekend. I normally stay near Catalina and do OK, but I thought I would see if anyone out there had another location or island I might consider.
I always appreciate the info I get and because I think it should be two way - I would tell you that last few years I have actually had fair success right off Isthmus reef over the thanksgiving weekend. I think it tends to get repopulated from the hi-spot area at the Isthmus and I seem to always be able to scratch out 3 ot 5 off that reef this time of year. Of course the night diving tends to be a little chillier.
