I agree that the NitrOx banners are a blight on the environment, like road signs. All you really need on your tank is the little O2 cleaned sticker. The best place to put it is on the side of the tank, not on the back, so that when your tank is strapped into a boat's tank slot, the air filler can see the vis date.

MOD calculations are easy to do, once practiced and mastered:

MOD = [ PO2 / FO2 - 1 ] x 33 fsw

for example:

EAN 32
FO2 = 32%
appropriate PO2 is 1.4 for West Coast cold water scuba

1.4 / 0.32 = 4.375 ATA
[4.375 ATA - 1 ] x 33 fsw = 110 fsw, rounded
"now class, do not dive deeper than 110 fsw or you might die"

Ken, with all your wisdom and experience, surely you can give up nostalgia and do all that with no problem. Your students and customers too.
