You are right about the tongue in cheek things might get believed, but I only posed a question so somebody would step up and say YES. Believe it or not, I do hear people (old folks like me, mostly) say that a single tank is safe. My thoughts were that it ought to come up that all recreational dives should be planned and executed in a safe, NDL kinda way. I could not think of a way to inject that without being so off topic that I would be treated as an NDL zealot. So I asked a loaded question knowing that some responsible person would set the record straight and then the readers would KNOW the answer.
You are right in that I should have put something in the post abou tthe answer, but I did not re-write the post after I changed the "subject" to the silly question.
