The diving was pretty good. 50'+ vis, 63 degrees at Long Point and the Casino. After we left, we heard the Iron Eagle call the Coast Guard. It seems the wind and ocean was so rough at Goat Harbor that nine of their divers surfaced down current and had to be picked up by a few other boats including Baywatch, the Prince Neptune and a jetski. My buddy stayed below while I fought the HUGE breakers all the way back to L.A. light. It felt as if I was the star of The Perfect Storm 2. We took quite a beating in my 22 foot boat, but made it back into my slip less than two minutes before the wind really picked up. If I wasn't dying to try out my new drysuit, I would have never gone out. I had two bilge pumps running all the way across the channel.
