Crud Brian, that's some truely sucko luck. Still, I have to think it was
luck. I think of what Spring is like up north and I almost shudder. I
measure divability by what happens if I throw some iceplant off a cliff.
If it flies up in my face I don't dive and that's before I look at the
water to see if there is a plankton bloom. I'll never forget the waves
coming across Carmel Point. Really though, Monterey is a bit of a
relatively protected pocket in what I think of as the Central and North
Coast. I dunno what to tell ya. Keep on coming down and you're bound to
get some good diving here eventually... Then again, I mostly hung out
on the Santa Cruz side, so what do I know about diving conditions?
