George Irvine talked about how the Halcyon set up was superior to those made by Dive-Rite or OMS.
They mentioned crotch strap width, wing styles, etc.
They did very little comparison to jacket style BCs.
They were clearly promoting Halcyon over other brands at the demo I attended.

I personally have no objection to the gear or set up.
I have used a dive-rite back plate since 1993, and still do when I use doubles.
My objection is the claim there is no marketing tie in, because there clearly is.
What I don't understand is why MHK and others refuse to admit what goes on.
They have a lot of good information to disseminate, but their clear refusal to acknowledge the marketing tie in severely undermines their credibility for the rest of the message.
