I took the family camping and surfing at Jalama County Beach this summer. Among the various signs descibing Chumash Indian activities, there was one saying that along with the "obsidian" like cobblestones that cover the sand, there was also a fair amount of Jade. I think that the color of the jade was note green like the jade that comes out of Burma. Seems like the sign said that it was
brown or yellow or???. Antway Jalama Beach is located about 40 minutes north of Santa Barbara. Happy Diving Tommy
