That's the Jade Cove I know of. Very pretty site
when I last dove it in the heat of 1996. In fact,
somewhere I have a nice piece of of green crystal
from there. Not sure if it's really jade, but it
looks just like the real thing. Kelp was really
thick, just the way I like it. There were seals
there too IIRC.
I have had discussions with others who swear that
there is a site called Jade Cove up closer to Big
Sur and yet another up in Mendocino Co. somewhere.
These guys were Silly-con professionals from the
old Intel and AMI dive clubs in San Jose/Cupertino.
Maybe I should give Jim Manderscheid and his
buddies Jan and Cindy a call. It's been years, but
I am sure they will remember the good old times
of camping in Big Sur and sleeping in the Camaro
waiting for the sun to come up so that they could
dive Redwood Beach.
Oh to be 13 again...
