How "dead" was the battery?? If there was any voltage the computer is probably locked up.
remove the battery, and short the terminals, The computer has very low power drain so it takes a while,
Just leave it overnight, the next day remove the short and replace the battery it should come to life..
This worked on 1 unit I had that wouldn't wake up after changing the battery.
