I just got back from Portugese Bend an hour ago. It's still a lake. Must be the calm before the storm. I got two bugs, one was about two pounds. I was amazed at the size of the Sand bass there. I had one bug that was barely legal, so I let it go. As he swam away, several big Sand Bass went after him. Now I know how they got so big. I was expecting big swells today, but it's the flattest I've seen it in weeks.
