Given that this is a forum for DIVERS, not would be divers, there is no reason for discover dive ads.
If someone is going to offer a useful and free course on diving, freediving, rescue diving (common up here), then by all means it should be welcomed, not written off as commercial intent because you don't agree with their diving style.
Ferry fare is no different than gas costs for those of us going to Monterey. I do think Avalon Pt is a far less attractive location, but that's the reality of shore diving in SoCal. (Mostly it sucks)
