I was looking at the swell model and it looks really good. If you are good with a compass and have a GPS, it is easy to find. I have been toying with driving my boat over, but this warm air and blown-flat sea brings up the fear of Santa Ana Winds which can make the drive home amazingly bad. You know if you are going alone, it is always cheaper to ride the ferry and be there in a hour (even with this cheap gasoline). I think the only time it makes sense for me to drive my own boat is when I am taking the family or diving places other than Avalon.
