I'm looking at doing a multi-day trip to Catalina, San Clemente, and the Coronados the last week of June. My buddy wants to know what water temps to expect and what level of exposure protection he'll need.
I'm up north where the temps range from mid 40's to mid 50's. I figure that, if anything I'll be overly warm in my drysuit. I'm not certain if I should recommend that my buddy get a 7 mm, that plus a hooded vest, or less.
Does anyone have any thoughts on what the temps might be and what people are wearing at those sites?
