That "capping" project was pilot scale only, a small area of the projected problem was looked at. Lot's of pros/cons to this type of approach.

Bottom line is that work, because of the scale of the project, has zero influence on risks assoc. with DDT in the sediments. The area of concern starts near and south of White's Point, the further north you go the less concentrated the contaminated sediments become such that by the time you get to Malaga the problem is undetectable.

BTW, this is not a new problem. Monsanto stopped discharging to the ocean several decades ago.
