I always had a hard time shooting something that actually swam up IN FRONT of my gun to have a long leisurely look at the tip. The rules of the fair chase just don't condone shooting friendly fish. Although, i can also think of things that taste worse (like store-bought red snapper lately), sheephead IMO are better shot with a Housed SLR, and perhaps, Astia 100 with a 55mm macro lens than with a speargun.
still, a few young uns with ample lemon, or in ceviche.............i dunno
