HUMOR TOGGLE ON -

Gee, I just took my PADI/NAUI/SSI ( fill in whatever agency you want here) advanced course. My instructor was so kind and compasionate. We did our first kelp dive, it was beautiful. Then we did a deep dive to 80 FSW. WOW ! After completing these required dives, my instructor independently supervised two more dives from shore. He loaned my his plastic fish ID slate to help me identify those big orange fish. At the end of the weekend he told us we really did well. I think I learned a lot from those two independently supervised dives at Casino Point.

He is teaching a PADI Boat Diver course next weekend, and I am already signed up ! Those are also independently supervised dives so after paying the course fee and both mine and his boat fees, all I have to do is have somevmore fun in the water ! Then I am up to three c-cards ! This summer I hope to take the Divemaster course. That way I can help train new divers. My instructor says after a while he will also gave me a Peak Performance Buoyancy c-card. That way, when he has 150 certs issues, he can apply for his MASTER INSTRUCTOR Card. I wanna be a Scuba Instructor one day.

HUMOR TOGGLE OFF -

I see this scenario EVER TIME I AM AT CASINO POINT AND IT MAKES ME SICK. Instructors who are products of substandard training go on to produce divers and more instructors who go on to give substandard training.

Its a vicious cycle.

Kevin
