I enjoy reading your views of the diving world. You usually have a different perpective that's interesting and gets the wheels turning. I don't feel that a tired achey feeling after diving is subclinical DCS. I would be tired and achey after any vigerous exercise especially climbing latters or lugging around a ton of gear and swimming for hours. We don't need to become a society of diving hypercondriacs but have ability to recognise what DCS really is and how to act on it. The Naval Vitual Hospital does have very good information about recognizing the signs and symptoms of type I and type II. To me something subclinical wouldn't be recognised as a symptom but more sublime. Undue or unexpected fatique or aches isn't subclinical, in my opinion. Any other views?

Steve
