When we all get out of the water, we have a group re-measure party. When in surgey water hanging onto a light and a bug, it is hard to tell on a close one. So we all gather around and see each other's catch in the back of the boat and see how we did. The ones that shrank during their time in the bag are put back for next season.
We do not ridicule, we simply have a fun measurement party before we pull anchor.
Helping each other out is what buddies are for. We may not see each other much during the dive, but once we are back on board, we have a good time, drink lots of water and diet coke, dry off and head back to San Pedro.
