I know one experienced diver who always dives like that.
he likes to have the tank sit higher on his back due to lower back problems.
it seems to be less painful for him when getting on/off the boat, but in this position he
hits his head on the regs so, he has to spin it around. It works for him otherwise he
would not be able to dive as often..
