Worst case you could dive inside Whalers Cove, although the vis might be zero there with even a relatively strong surge in there. Same story for Stillwater Cove at Pebble Beach. Those are the two most protected spots, although it may be possible to bring a surfboard and catch some pretty good waves even in those places.
The TDI technical diving instructor-trainer that I am working with out of Santa Cruz called me last night and we scrapped all of our technical diving plans for this weekend.
There are storms stacked up in the Pacific Ocean headed one after another towards Central California like a freight train.
Bring your surfboard and your 5mm wetsuit instead of your scuba gear for this weekend. Should be some great waves!
