Just my thoughts on e-bay and dive gear. I continually see items offered under SCUBA by people who have no clue about SCUBA. Today, for example there are several SCUBA/Paintball tanks available for sale. One such offering was for a 4500 psi Carbonfiber tank. The description said it was equiped with a firefigheters regulater. The photo showed a DOT number of E11194 which is a carbon tank NOT APPROVED for underwater breathing use. The seller is claiming a paintballer can take the tank to a SCUBA shop and get it filled (without a C-Card?) and then refill their friends Paint Ball tanks for a profit, or use it for SCUBA diving. Another occasion was Steel TAnks that the DOT code showed to be AL. BUYER BE WARE because the sellers often don't have a clue what they are doing. There are some reputable sellers out there. But you have to watch closely.
