There are only two sizes of low pressure fittings
I've ever seen on regs, and one is quite uncommon,
and the first stage would typically have only one
of the odd size, and several of the more normal
size. The odd size was larger diameter and was
intended to flow better. In practice, the quality
of the reg was more important. I've an old Dacor
Pacer 950 with the big port, and it doesn't
breathe nearly as well as my Atomics with the
small port.
