Diving with the kids is fun. But I do not enjoy the "dive". Let me give an example. We went to Grand Cayman on vacation this year. My wife and I did some kidless dives. We enjoyed the dive experience -- the reefs and walls. We saw everything and our minds were not filled with concern for others. We were only concerned with enjoying the dive. But on the dives with the little ones, we were enjoying the family experience and taking great joy from participating with them. That is different from enjoying the wall or the reef.
