Yes, but...
IF IF IF IF (and it's a huge IF) the news stories are correct, then I want to blame the survivor. And I want to do it loudly enough that some people think about it and listen.
Frequently, the early news stories are not correct... but IF they are, how utterly stupid and unnecessary. You don't leave an absolutely brand new diver to ascend by himself, low on air, from 65 feet, probably (given the location) in kelp. You just have to have more concern for your buddies than that.
