A little late on this one, but..

Saturday over at Catalina was excellent. Calm seas were waiting for us when we arrived at Eagle Rock just past 9am. Viz was ok, about 30' on average. Water temp was a comfortable 58f, even at 80fsw. The second dive was just north of Ribbon Rock. The site will henceforth be known as Horn Shark Reef to me. Most people saw 10-20 of the little buggers, without even trying to find them. I'm not talking the lil' wee ones, though there were several 8" - 1 footers, I'm talking the full grown 3 to 4 foot muthas. Sun was our friend the entire day, as were good company and good food. We finished the day off at Cactus Bay. I think I only saw a few bugs all day, but then, I think there was only one game bag on the entire boat, so no worries there. All in all, a nice way to kick off the new year.
