What you're suggesting is the same as going back to the J valve-an early warning device. Of course the J valve went out with the proliferation of the SPG. Added equipment is no substitute for teaching people how to dive properly and flunking incompetents. For that matter, if someone is so unaware that they need a pony to keep from burning their tank by mistake, do you really think loading on additional equipment is the answer?
