Water will warm up into the mid 70's, kelp will slowly die and we get warm water critters up this way including frogfish, triggers, turtles, arrow crabs, dorado, and more. I even saw my first hagfish but am not sure whether or not they are indiginous to our area.
I saw my first el nino hit it 1984 and the kelp never fully rejuvinated. ALthough I do like warm water I was happy this year to see our waters get back to normal, or close to it.
