Both you and brian developed problems at the tail or bottom end of the zipper. I have seen the situation where the zipper at the end becomes more difficult to close or open due to the collection of water (thanks to gravity) near the zipper itself or on last few teeth. With saltwater this is a problem with that greenish corrosion developing (or not) sometimes its just excess salt and gunk that trickle down. I use a 99 cent spray bottle filled with a light mix of ivory non scented (ie no perfume that would be harmful to suit) soap to clean and lube the zipper before getting into it and as i am getting out. I have seen the zipper wax and even ky used as lubricant but that helps create your end of zipper issues through caking. Sometimes just having someone hose you off right after coming out of water (over the zipper surface) is enough to make a difference.
