Nice description, most of your points are discussed in and ANDI CSU class (complete safeair user).

I use an electrical analogy and that nitrogen is like a resistor, the deeper you go the higher the resistance, therfore the more it restricts current, same thing
with nerve impulses, and that tell them if they get further training and lear to use helium based mixes they can effectively reverse
the effect.

The ANDI program has a 1-2hr section on nitrogen narcosis, additional sections on otox and DCI avoidance (all about the same duration)..
Its not a quickie nitrox class, average class time is 12+ hours

ANDI recommends a PN2 of 3.2 with a max of 4.0 for recreational divers.
