Not that there is a hard bottom at 100, but I rarely go deeper than that. Most places I go are not that deep.
Although I recognize there are some deep sites that some divers love to visit, they are just not on my list. For those who like them, more power to them and I hope they dive very carefully.
I worry that much of the deep stuff is the same old macho crap of who has been deeper rather than the dive destination was one that was desired and carefully planned and prepared for.
Call me a wimp if you want, but a 30-50 fsw dive in kelp off P.V. is heaven. Simple, long, no problem with NDLs, lots to see, and very easy to do.
