Any diving has an element of danger and the deeper you go the more dangerous it is, IMO. Why? Gas goes into solution at depth and the deeper you are the faster your lipid tissue and spinal cord get saturated. You will not be able to safely surface without ascending very slowly and making stops along the way and this is true no matter which gas you breathe.
