Based on this statement, I think it is safe to assume that you are opposed to carrying extra equipment for the purpose of back-up gas - since the diver should watch his gas supply rendering the back-up gas container (pony cylinder) useless extra equipment.
The sole purpose of an Isolation manifold on double cylinders is back-up gas supply.
Following your logic, doubles divers should not use an Isolation style manifold - since it is extra equipment they shouldn't need ...
