after reading nightdiver's post, i'm getting the
impression that perhaps moray eel behavior is
changing, being modified somehow, so that they
are becoming nocturnal.

i learned a few months ago that the behavior of
the coyote is being modified and that coyotes
are no longer necessarily nocturnal--i can vouch
for this as several of us have witnessed a relatively
large coyote w/in our gated community in the not
so early morning hours...and it wasn't scared of anything or anyone!

so, one possibility is that somehow, for whatever
reason, moray eels are changing their habits and
hiding out better during the day...????...
