I have always liked the Liberty. FWIW, the thing that stands out in my mind is that Liberty is a friendly boat with a very approachable staff. Whether it was Kevin who always remembered names or back in the days of Helen and Chiarra, and of course you.
Some of the other boats have crew who are stuck up and unfriendly. That takes away from the experience. I talked to my kids about diving the channel islands recently and we looked at the availability of boats. They all said how much they preferred the Liberty, too. Good luck on getting it all worked out and I look forward to diving with you and the new crew.
