I've watched lobster boats purposely run down dive flags. I've been cursed at for diving near lobster pots. Many lobstermen carry rifles on board. Why one needs a rifle on a lobster boat is beyond me. Who do you need to shoot at? Other lobster boays? Yeah, that happens. Dive boats? That's happened too. Lobstermen can get nuts over "their" lobster.
Don't see why it'sa a big deal in New Hampshire though. There is little dive activity there. No shore diving for the most part and most divers head to Maine and Massachusetts to do their diving.
