Will be in LA for two weeks in mid February. Looking for dive operators

My company is sending me to LA for two weeks (about 5 miles from the beach somewhere off Wilshire) and I figure that when I'm not working 13 hour days, I can be looking for places to dive. Seemed like a good idea to try an shorten my search online. Thus far I have found little info on operators or dive sites near LA. Surely there has to be something worth seeing with all that water around? Being as I have never been to CA before, I don't know where to look, and what questions to ask, so I thought I would try asking you - the local divers.

Any input would be appreciated.
