www.sandeaters.org has a list and description of dive sites in the LA area. You can even join the e-mail list and send a call out to local divers for a dive partner. There is usally some one available for a dive. They do shore dives, which makes it nice for a quick dive after work or on the weekend with little cost. As far as dive operators go, there are several. The California Divers News www.saintbrendan.com is available at your local dive shop for free, and will have advertisements on many of the dive boats. Good luck. Enjoy.
