We left Cabrillo at 8:30 with 7 on board. We rounded the breakwall and saw nothing but flat. steady at 24kts and never felt a bump. Oh yea, no dive gear on board.

Sightseeing and setting up tourist things for the inlaws in the morning and a walk through of the park. Water looked clear and inviting, divers looked happy. Played tourist.

at 5:30 we departed Avalon in flat, golden seas. It is a rare day that the seas are flat enought to turn into a golden sheet at sunset, but this was one of those days. about 1/2 mile out of Avalon we spotted an area of Pacific Wite Sided Dolphins that had to be about 1/2 mile in diameter. So many that it was impossible to estimate the number. They were all cruising along at a fast clip in an easterly direction. SO we joined them for a mile or so. No wonder we love the ocean here in California!

Then home in the flat seas. We slowed slightly for the last 2 miles beasue of of boat chop, but the entire transit was exactly 1 hour -- even with our little dolphin watching excursion.

I love our seas!

Wayne
