I totally agree with you. While I do not believe trophy hunting is doing the fish any good at all, commerical fishing with their 'bi-catch' (I used to work summers on a shrimp boat in North Carolina, so believe me, I know how bad that can be)is the real problem. Until some way is found to reduce or eliminate near-shore commercial fishing (and yes, sport fishing too) along selected areas of our coast, the fish stocks will never have a chance to recover.
