Howdy Y'all...
Can someone shed some light on the current situation at Redondo? After a 3 month hiatus from diving due to illness, I went for my first dive in quite some time tonight... only to find all the access steps were blocked off, the beach itself was taped off with "do not cross" tape, and the sand was all tore up with heavy machinery. Now I am pissed off... I take a little break and my humble spot has been desecrated.
Sewage spill? Re-pipe? General Governmental destruction? Heal the Bay has rated the pier an "F" the last few weeks, and I was wondering if that had anything to do with it... suggestions or information would be appreciated. Are classes still happening over the weekends? Do I just ignore the "do not cross" tape and go on my merry way, or is there a fungus among us?
