Well, the population has hugely changed since I started diving. Not to mention the islands, do you remember the Cortes Banks some years back when you were always followed by a school of large males? In ways Clemente is still that way, but much smaller fish. The northern islands are just not the way they were. Not by any stretch of the imagination. I could tell some stories... but we all know I'd never do that.
By the way, it has been found that in many places in the world, the commercial fishers have been over reporting their catches to hide fishery declines.
