I wasn't trying to ridicule anyone. Least of all you. My "Gotcha" post was a joke in response to a joke. What I was trying to point out is the effect of restricting the flow of gas. By lowering the flow, you lower the rate at which gas escapes from the cylinder. This in turn lowers the rate of expansion which lowers the cooling effect which is a cause of first stage freeze-up. Lowering the IP has the same result. The lower the IP, the lower the number of molecules flowing through the orafice per unit of time. The issue of lowering gas loss after free flow was never the point I was trying to make.
